Ingredients

  • 8 oz wheel of brie
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce fresh or canned
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1 sheet puff pastry optional, for wrapping
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts optional
  • Crackers, sliced baguette, or fresh fruit, for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place the brie on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the top.
  • Sprinkle with the brown sugar, orange zest, and walnuts, if using.
  • Bake 12–15 minutes, until the brie is soft and warmed through. (To wrap in puff pastry instead, encase the topped brie in the pastry, brush with egg wash, and bake at 400°F for 20–25 minutes.)
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes, then serve with crackers, baguette slices, or fresh fruit.

Notes

Assemble ahead of time and refrigerate, then bake just before serving. Pairs beautifully with wine or cider. Swap the cranberry sauce for fig jam or apricot preserves, or drizzle with honey. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
